A quick-thinking ranger rescued a paddleboarder who was trapped under a bridge in Utah.

The emergency responder was alerted by a concerned local that a 45-year-old woman had become stuck beneath the Trestle Bridge on the Provo River in Wasatch County.

Footage shows the Natural Resource Law Enforcement Ranger immediately entering the cold, fast-moving river, later joined by a kind-hearted bystander who helped with the rescue.

Reports said the trio remained in the water, which was around 13 degrees Celsius, for approximately 30 minutes until the holidaymaker was safely freed.

Wasatch County Search and Rescue, along with Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene and provided medical attention to everyone involved on June 28.
