Chinese lions take a fall as they play Squid Game jump rope challenge
This is the hilarious moment Chinese lion dancers took a tumble while playing a Squid Game-style jump rope challenge.
Footage shows performers dressed as pink and green guardian lions, along with a man in a traditional red Tang suit, standing on a platform in Bangkok, Thailand.
The group can be seen jumping in unison, successfully leaping over the swinging rope as music played in the background on July 3.
However, moments later, the green lion lost its footing and fell to the ground.
This prompted the guards, dressed in red boiler suits, to rush toward the dancers, who shook their heads in mock fear as they were dragged away.
The entertaining skit escalated into a playful tug-of-war, with the pink lion dancers grabbing their co-performers while the guards pulled from the other side.
Visitors were given the chance to play the real-life version of the series' iconic skipping rope game, with giant dolls swinging the rope, from June 28 to July 6.
There have been dozens of scrapes and falls. However, unlike the Netflix series, none of the participants plunge to their deaths to have their organs harvested.
Squid Game Season 3 premiered globally on Netflix on June 27. The final season continues the intense storyline, with protagonist Seong Gi-hun returning to the deadly games after the loss of his friend Jung-bae.
The South Korean Netflix series, originally released in 2021, depicts a deadly competition where contestants play children's games for a large cash prize.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk drew inspiration from his own economic struggles, as well as issues of class disparity and capitalism in South Korea.
The show became Netflix's most-watched series and topped charts in 94 countries.
