Phoenix, United States - July 27, 2025 07/26/2025 11:00 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police located a Toyota Corolla near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road that was related to an earlier armed robbery that occurred at an unknown location in the city of Phoenix. Officers tracked the suspect's vehicle as it traveled southbound on 67th Avenue, eventually entering the Laveen area. The suspect crashed into a tree and fled from the vehicle on foot while entering a residential neighborhood near 67th Avenue and Williams Street. Officers converged on the neighborhood and established a large perimeter. Phoenix Police Tactical Support Bureau K-9s initiated a subject search with assistance from the Phoenix police helicopter. The suspect was later located hiding on the exterior of a residential property south of the crash location. The suspect was non-compliant when officers made contact, prompting officers to release a police K-9. The K-9 unit successfully subdued the suspect, allowing officers to approach and apprehend. Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to the scene and transported the suspect to a local hospital due to bite injuries.
