A grabby Indian tourist was mobbed by furious Thai prostitutes after he allegedly groped one of them - to check the size of her breasts.

The holidaymaker was asking about prices from sex workers along Pattaya's infamous Beach Road in the seedy seaside resort town on Monday evening.

The woman quoted 3,000 baht (69 GBP), but he reportedly insisted on checking her body first. He was said to have grabbed her chest before remarking that 'her boobs were too small'.

The degrading comment enraged the gaggle of streetwalkers, who then chased the Indian man through the bustling alleys of the red-light district.

Police were notified of the alleged attack at 11:36 pm local time. They found the Indian man arguing with the Thai woman as onlookers watched the row unfold.

Footage shows officers trying to shove the uncooperative Indian man, seen in the video wearing a yellow shirt, onto a police truck.

A Pattaya City Police Station spokesman said: 'Both sides were taken to the police station for negotiations. Eventually, they agreed to apologise to each other. They went their separate ways without pursuing legal action.'

In July, three Indian tourists called the police on a bar girl to complain that her breasts were too small.

The trio had picked up the Thai sex worker from one of the infamous red-light bars in the Thai 'Sin City' on July 18.

They took her back to their hotel room but said they were shocked when she disrobed before lying on the bed. They claimed her body 'was not what they expected'.

Police had to intervene after the bar girl refused to leave until the 3,000 baht bill was settled. The sex worker eventually returned the deposit before both sides parted without further incident.

Tourists are regularly attacked or caught up in crime, leading Pattaya to be dubbed 'Sin City'.

Embarrassed officials in the central government have launched tourism initiatives to attract families and rebrand Pattaya as a safe destination.

Authorities have also introduced safety measures, such as improved lighting and CCTV.

Despite some success in cleaning up the town's image, alcohol and sex remain its biggest draws, often leading to a high rate of crime and accidents.
