Excitable dog enjoys first-ever swim at beach
This is the amusing moment an excitable dog enjoyed his first-ever swim at a beach.
Leah Rose Barrientos took her Golden Retriever, Choco, to the shore on a sunny day in Negros Occidental, the Philippines.
Footage shows Leah holding the one-year-old pooch's leash while he paddles his limbs in the water on August 13.
The canine can be seen moving his legs as he manoeuvres against the small waves before swimming back to his owner.
Golden Retrievers are natural swimmers because of their strong, muscular build, webbed paws, and water-resistant double coat, which make them well-suited for paddling and retrieving in water.
Historically, they were specially trained to retrieve waterfowl from both land and water without harming the birds.
