Los Angeles, United States - August 20, 2025 08/19/2025 10:09 pm GMT-0700 CLAREMONT, Calif. – California Highway Patrol officers from the Baldwin Park Area office and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle on the westbound 210 Freeway, just west of Baseline Road in Claremont. The motorcycle rider was found down in the number 1 lane and lost one leg due to the crash. Emergency personnel transported the rider to Pomona Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by doctors. The other car remained at the scene, and it is currently unknown if any other vehicles struck the rider. CHP closed the carpool lane and the number one lane as they investigate the fatal crash. A Sig Alert has been issued for one hour.
