US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield 1 Dead After Crash Involving Train
Bakersfield, United States - September 27, 2025 09/26/2025 10:30 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a deadly crash Friday night in which a driver was believed to have collided with a train near King Street and East 18th Street. The crash was reported just after 10:30 p.m. and left a Nissan with heavy front-end damage, trapping the driver inside. Fire crews from the Bakersfield Fire Department extricated the victim, but the driver died at the scene. The train appeared to continue before later stopping, according to initial reports.
