Starlink Spectacle: Satellite Re-entry Lights Up North Carolina Sky!
North Carolina – A video shared on X by Aaron Love captures a bright object racing across the night sky. The spectacle was confirmed as the Starlink-1586 satellite re-entry on September 25, 2025, at 7:45 PM PST.
As the satellite burned up in the atmosphere, it left behind a glowing trail, a sight similar to meteor showers like the Orionids. Unlike those natural events, this fiery display came directly from the satellite’s descent.
Posts and reports from the same timeframe point to heightened celestial activity, with multiple meteor sightings and other satellite re-entries noted during that period.
