An elderly passenger was saved after slipping while leaving a moving train in India.

The pensioner was exiting coach G-9 of train 1594 Garib Rath Express at platform 6 when the incident occurred at Kanpur Central Station in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, January 13, at around 9:30 am.

Dramatic footage shows the elderly woman losing balance and falling from a slowly moving coach while disembarking.

Quick-thinking Constable S.R. Godara of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) acted swiftly to prevent a tragedy by grabbing her hand and pulling her to safety.

Following the incident, authorities urged commuters to exercise caution when boarding or disembarking from moving trains to prevent similar accidents.

On November 3, another passenger stumbled onto the train tracks while attempting to board a moving carriage at Kanpur Railway Station.

She grabbed the door handle but was dragged along as the train picked up speed, eventually losing her footing and falling onto the tracks.

Onlookers acted quickly, shouting and urging others to pull the train's emergency chain.

When the train finally stopped, the crowd lifted her off the tracks together.

Reports indicated that the woman sustained only minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
