This is the heartwarming moment a stray kitten stuck in the wall of a car showroom was rescued by mechanics.

Footage shows the hapless black moggy unable to move as it was squeezed behind the glass wall in Bangkok, Thailand.

Store owner Bownocom Siripat called neighbours fearing the stray would die before a rescue team could arrive.

The workers made a square hole in the wooden pillar and began extracting the feline. Three others were found with it inside, and they all now live in the shop while looking for someone to adopt them.

Bownocom said: 'We couldn't wait for the rescuers because the kittens were crying so loud. We drilled a hole and saved them.'

Thailand, a largely Buddhist nation, believes that kindness towards animals should be encouraged, with temples sometimes being a safe refuge for stray cats, dogs, and even monkeys that don't have homes.
