An elderly man of approximately 70 years old was involved in an accident on Monday afternoon on Avenida Prestes Maia, in Santo André. A pedestrian passing by recorded the moment on video.

According to preliminary information, the man attempted to swerve around a partial roadblock sign that had been placed due to a leak in a manhole cover. At that moment, a cement mixer truck driving ahead ended up dragging the victim’s car, which was crushed. The truck driver, thinking something was stuck to the vehicle, got out to check and only then realized what had happened.

Firefighters, who were nearby and witnessed the scene, immediately provided assistance. So far, there is no information about injuries.
