US, Phoenix: Glendale Pedestrian Struck By Freight Train

Phoenix, United States - October 23, 2025 10/22/2025 10:40 pm GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – Glendale police officers, firefighters, and BNSF personnel responded to the area of 59th Avenue and Glendale Avenue following reports of a collision involving a BNSF train and a pedestrian. First responders arrived and located an unidentified pedestrian along the tracks, north of the Glendale Avenue crossing. The pedestrian was transported to a local trauma center with unspecified injuries. Glendale police officers, alongside BNSF police, have established a crime scene near the lead locomotive of the involved train. The involved train was placed out of service during the investigation, leaving multiple crossings along Grand Avenue blocked. At least three Grand Avenue railroad crossings (Northern Avenue, Orangewood Avenue, and Myrtle Avenue) were blocked for several hours while the investigation unfolded.
