A bus driver battled through a flooded street as heavy rain lashed Spain.

Footage shows a red double-decker tourist coach making its way through knee-deep, murky water in Seville on October 29.

Floodwaters also poured into a nearby building's garage, submerging a car and carrying debris along with the current. Locals criticised authorities, blaming poor sewer maintenance for the deluge.

AEMET, Spain's national weather agency, maintained an orange alert for heavy rain and storms in Seville, despite residents saying the situation felt more like a red-alert scenario.

The storm was linked to the same Atlantic weather front that earlier brought torrential rain and tornadoes to Huelva and parts of the Costa del Sol.

Officials urged the public to follow emergency service instructions to avoid a repeat of last year's disaster.

In late October 2024, torrential rains struck Valencia, Spain. The resulting floods claimed 232 lives and left several people missing after intense downpours caused rivers to overflow, damaged infrastructure, and forced thousands to evacuate.
