Footage shows the vessel swaying on the surface as they pushed across the freak tides in Batanes province on December 17.
While the travellers wore safety vests, student Ericka Alasco said they were scared about safety during the voyage.
She said: ‘That was the most affordable mode to leave the island and reach the city apart from the plane. Even though the weather was bad, we still arrived safely thanks to the guides.'
