Landslide causes partial collapse of Hongqi Bridge in Sichuan, China
On November 12, 2025, in Sichuan, China, @Méimíngzì shared a video of a landslide that led to part of the Hongqi Bridge collapsing. In the video, soil on the steep mountainside slowly begins to slide, creating thick clouds of dust that obscure the far end of the bridge. Moments later, a massive section of the slope gives way, pulling the end of the newly built highway bridge down. A huge plume of dust rises into the air as the structure collapses.
