Two kind-hearted tourists pushed a stranded whale back into the sea in southern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Huizhou in Guangdong Province.

A tourist named Mr Pu spotted the stranded whale when he was taking a walk on the beach. So did another man walking his dog.

Pu and the dog walker then decided to help the whale return back to the sea. They also called the local coast guard for assistance.

Pu said, the whale was around 5 metres long and it took them around half an hour to push it back into the sea.

Finally, the whale swam back to the sea with the help of the big waves.

However, the whale reportedly got stranded again on January 29 and died.

The whale remains have been brought back to the Huizhou Fishery Research and Extension Center.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
