This clever dog was seen carefully walking across the road using a pedestrian crossing during rush hour traffic.

The black-and-white stray amazed waiting motorists after it was seen on the zebra crossing in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 24 at 5pm.

He stepped off the pavement, looked both ways and pottered across the white stripes before stepping up onto the pavement.

Several moped riders and a bus driver can be seen watching the road-savy mutt - using all of his street sense to survive the hectic traffic.

Passing motorcycle rider Ekkachai Chanapai said: ''This happened on the Rama 3 expressway which is a very busy road.

''The dog was smart, he knew how to wait for cars to stop then use the zebra crossing. He was very disciplined.''
