This is the heartwarming moment a kind motorcycle rider helped a stray dog cross a busy road.

The man was passing through the junction when he noticed the pooch stranded at a zebra crossing in Bangkok, Thailand on February 7.

Worried that the dog could be hurt in an accident, he pulled over and ran to the opposite side of the road before guiding the dog to safety.

Footage shows the pooch waiting to cross before the kind rider arrived to help him. He was then taken to a residential area away from main roads where villagers could feed him.

Onlooker Sukanya Songsod said: 'My friends and I were eating in a restaurant in Thong Lor area. I thought the dog was very smart as it knew where it had to wait in order to cross. Thankfully the man stopped to help the dog.'
