An illegal workshop was rumoured to be making fake steamed buns from paper in Tianshui City in northwestern China.

On August 5, as seen in this video, a woman puts a steamed bun into water to dissolve and finds that it contains something like paper inside.

The steamed bun was made by an unlicensed workshop and local officers were forced to close it, reports said.

Sampling and testing work to discover what they were made is underway at the moment.
