A lucky escape for a sprightly daredevil, who manages to cross a high-altitude bridge at a theme park in southwest China’s Chongqing City on October 1

As the man leaps over the widely-spaced planks and jumps to the final platform, the harness comes off after having been apparently unsecured for the entirely of his journey. Had he fallen, it could have been a fatal accident.

With relief, he stares at the harness and laughs.

Authorities say that the facility has been shut down and penalties imposed after the park attempted to write the incident off as a marketing stunt.

In a wide spread clip, the safety cord can be seen falling off the man’s harness as the adventurer reaches the platform. The accident raised more anger when staff at the scenic spot tried to cover it up and dismissed the accident as “a marketing stunt”. According to authorities, the recreational facility has been shut down and penalties will be followed after further investigation.
