This is the heart-warming moment a fox is rescued after it gets its head stuck in an empty paint can.

The incident occurred near Kannur in South India on December 23.

A fox, which had gone near a village to scavenge for food, put its head inside an empty paint, which got stuck.

A villager spotted the fox running around in distress with the empty paint can around its head and alerted a well-known animal welfare activist Sajith Kumar.

Sajith and friends took nearly a day to track the fox and catch it.

They then battled for nearly two hours to remove the can. As the can was tightly stuck, they had to use water and soap around the neck before it could come off.

As the fox ran away in relief, they bid it farewell with a ‘Tata Bye Bye.’
