Blindfolded man wielding axe cracks open coconuts balanced on women
A blindfolded man wildly swinging an axe was filmed smashing open coconuts placed on the feet, head and stomach of three women at a roadshow in central India.
Video of the dangerous routine shows how the three women were arranged in different poses with a coconut either on their head, feet or stomach, while the axe-swinging blind man is aligned to make the risky cut.
In several deft motions, the coconuts are smashed in quick successions, leaving the three women unharmed, who then leap to their feet and continue their blade-dancing.
The wild performance was filmed on January 14 in Tukum, in Chandrapur, Maharashtra state, as the area was preparing to celebrate the Hindu holiday of Makar Sankranti on January 15.
Dancing to the beats of drums and sound of trumpets, armed with swords, axe and other dangerous weapons, the artists adventurously flip and roll the sharp long blades in the air, portraying their precision and balance in the act.
