This wooden ship is famous with the name PINISI. This ship has sailed across the ocean for centuries. This ship is capable of carrying hundreds of tons of goods. this ship used the screen first. now using a diesel engine. and already equipped with a simple crane.
with this crane loading and unloading the goods faster. as a result it saves time to dock and workers.
the activity at this port still remained the same as the VOC era.
the content is different. the era of the goods loaded were spices from eastern Indonesia. now more diverse items.
This old port is named SUNDA KELAPA. in its heyday the port was packed with PINISI and VOC ships.
now this port is not as busy as it once was. His rival is the container port TANJUNG PRIOK. the port is on the east side of the bay of Jakarta.
