Ontario FD responded to a big rig vs a power pole on the freeway. Arriving crews located a semi truck on the westbound lanes of the I-10 that crashed into the guardrail, went through a fence and sheared a power pole causing the lines to collapse on both westbound and eastbound sides of the I-10. The driver of the big rig was confirmed deceased at the scene. Another vehicle, a dark colored sedan with major front end damage was located on the westbound side of the I-10 just east of the fallen power lines. It's unclear how this vehicle was involved in the crash or if any parties were injured. At this time, firefighters and CHP are still at the scene waiting for Edison to cut the power lines and remove them from the roadway. The I-10 wesbound and eastbound is completely stalled in the vicinity of the incident for the moment and a SIG alert has been issued of unknown duration.
