A newborn piglet was fighting for its today (23/08) life after being born with two heads.

The little fella astonished its owners on the farm when he was born in a litter of nine others on Wednesday (21/08) in Nong Bua Lamphu, northeastern Thailand.

Sayan Mahahing, 44, and his wife Bubpha Phosri, 39, named him 'Song-Si' which means two and four in Thai language - two heads and four eyes.

The male piglet appeared to physically healthy with two conjoined heads, two noses, two mouths, and four eyes.

The couple separated him from the group to feed separately with a syringe as he was having difficulty drinking milk from and might get hurt while chasing the mother.

They also believe that Song-Si was born to bring them good fortune and prosperity into the farming business.

Bubpha said: ''He looks fine like the rest of his brothers and sisters but we will called the vet to do the check-up on him, to make sure that he's totally healthy.

''Our superstitious neighbours came to see him and interpreted his bizarre head as an omen for the lottery results. But having him alive is already a miracle for us.''
