Community come together through ritual rice pounding song in Indonesia

When some people have switched to using technology or machinery, a group of mothers in the Dharmasraya Regency of Indonesia, still retain the traditional way to process rice into rice and flour.
This past technology is environmentally friendly because it does not use engines or do not need fuel, either oil or gas.
This past technology only relies on energy, pestle or mortar and mortar as a container.
This tradition, called Antan Goto, also shows the community togetherness. Uniquely, the process of pounding rice is also followed by singing or humming which contains the outpouring of mothers' hearts. Alu pestle with dimples produces a unique rhythm and becomes their singing accompaniment.
But the progress of civilization can not be avoided. Antan Goto is now endangered, and is only often exhibited when cultural attractions and performances greet guests.
