Moment speeding car smashes through police barricade defying Corona lockdown
This is the stunning moment a driver smashes through a police barricade that had been set up to enforce a lockdown to contain Corona virus.
The man was spotted driving in the city of Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh, India, on April 3. He refused to heed the police who tried to stop him at various check point in the city.
A CCTV camera at Kundipura police station filmed him driving through the barricade as two constables throw sticks at him in frustration.
Police said they caught up with the driver, Ranjith Yadav, and stopped the car. They have arrested him and an accompanying passenger, and booked them for violating the lockdown and reckless driving.
Yadav claimed that he was transporting a tractor driver for urgent agricultural work and panicked when the police tried to stop him.
