Several police officers attempted to stop a drunk motorist from repeatedly driving around a busy roundabout in Nashik, Maharashtra.

Footage captured on November 17 and released by the local police force shows officers pursuing a white vehicle.

The vehicle had crashed into several other cars, injuring seven other people in the process.

Officers eventually managed to stop and arrest 42-year-old Saheb Rao Nikam who they claim was under the influence of alcohol.

A traffic CCTV video shows the chaos caused by a drunk driver, 42-year old Saheb Rao Nikam, in the city of Nashik in Maharashtra, India.

On the evening of 17th November 2022, an inebriated Nikam crashed into several vehicles and injured seven people in Nashik suburbs, but drove on without stopping, before finally being nabbed at Chandak Circle of the city.

The video shows him in his damaged car driving round and round the Chandak Circle.

Curious onlookers stop to see his antics, and some are forced to get out of his way for their dear lives. Meanwhile, cops chase him on foot, motorcycle and their SUVs. We even see an aggravated cop throw something at Nikam through his car window to make him stop.

NIkam has been arrested and officer Bhagirath Deshmukh of the Ambad Police Station of Nashik is investigating this case.

The injured people have been admitted to the Nashik Civil Hospital.
