Heavy rain hits Thai capital Bangkok this afternoon as tropical storms caused flash floods in parts of the city.

The downpour lasted for than an hour as it swept through the country. Rain storms have increased in recent weeks as the country moves into its hottest summer period with temperatures passing 36C.

In the coastal city of Rayong, a large waterspout was seen stretching from the sea into the clouds.

While in Mukdahan in the northeast, office workers were surprised after thousands of large size hail stones hit their building during a tropical storm.

The Thai Meteorological Department warned that the storms will increase in their intensity in the coming days, particularly in North, the Northeast, the East, and the Central regions
