Firefighters rescue six-foot snake from tree in southern India

A snake stuck in a tree was rescued by group firefighters amid lockdown in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place near Putheri in Ganesh Nagar of Nagercoil city in Kanyakumari district on May 10.

Visuals showed the firefighters on the wall rescuing the snake from the tree where it is stuck.

According to the reports, the residents on noticing the snake informed the firefighters, who arrived at the spot and rescued the 6-foot long snake.

It was later released into a nearby forest range.
