Volunteers rescue more than 10 snakes from hospital premises in southern India

A group of volunteers rescued more than 10 snakes from hospital premises amid lockdown in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Raja Mirasdar Hospital of Thanjavur district on April 29.

The visual shows volunteers rescuing the snakes from the bushes and shrubs as premises are being cleaned using an earthmover.

According to the reports, the hospital was not maintained and a female employee was bitten by a venomous snake and admitted to Thanjavur Medical College for further treatment. She is said to be recovering.

The District Collector ordered the cleaning process, wherein the snakes in premises were being captured by the volunteers.
