Bull eats explosive-laden food kept by miscreants, sustains critical injuries in northern India
In a horrific incident, that bears semblance to the brutal death of a pregnant elephant and its unborn child, a hungry bull looking for food ate explosive material that blasted in its mouth, leaving its jaw hanging in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The food was supplied by a miscreant, much like the one that was provided to the pachyderm in southern India's Kerala.
The incident took place in Ayodhya of Faizabad district on July 3.
The video shows, the bull breathing its last near a pond unable to bear the pain of the explosive that blew away its jaw.
A resident from the locality spoke about the incident following which the accused was arrested.
According to the reports, the miscreants had placed the explosive material in an eatable for a wild pig.
However, the bull that was passing by and was hungry, so it ate the explosive-laden food.
The cops have registered a case based on the local's complaint and arrested two persons in this regard.
Those arrested have been identified as Satyanam Triveni, 32, and Bhola Ram Dayal, 35, the police said.
The news comes after a pregnant elephant died in Kerala’s Palakkad in May after it accidentally ate a fruit stuffed with crackers, triggering widespread outrage.
