A brave woman painstakingly cut free a 7-foot-long rat snake from a net in southern India on Saturday (August 22nd).

Footage filmed in the Mangalore area of Karnataka state shows Rajani using scissors to cut the net around the reptile.

It took around 90 minutes to free the non-venomous snake which was later released in a nearby forest.

A 7 Feet long (approx) rat snake which was caught in net from 3-4 days was rescued by two Samaritans after they were informed by some playing boys in the area who noticed snake trapped in net .
Rajani was informed by some boys about a snake at biruver kudla playground in Ballalbagh in Manglore district , boys noticed the snake while playing cricket . Soon rajni rushed to the spot and with the help of another Samaritan Atul and Raju. Rajani tells the snake for struggling to come out from the net and was weak , I grabbed snake mouth and started cutting the net with scissor . It took them around 90 minutes to rescue snake . The snake suffered with cuts and wounds was given first aid and released in forest .
