LGBTIQI group vacate house in Camps Bay after eviction order granted

A group calling itself the #WeSeeYou Collective who occupied a house in the wealthy and luxurious Cape Town coastal suburb of Cape Town vacated the house today in terms of a court order granted by the Western Cape High Court on Friday 2 October.

The group initially booked into the 6 bedroom mansion overlooking the ocean and then refused to check out in order to in order top highlight the lack of housing provision by the City of Cape Town.

The Western Cape High Court ordered the group to vacate the property on by Thursday 8 October on condition the City of Cape Town provide them with alternate accommodation.
