Shocking footage shows how a house plunged down a hillside after Typhoon Molave caused landslides in the Philippines.

The house built by the roadside in Negros Oriental province gave was after heavy rain caused flash floods which weakened the soil soft foundations on October 26.

Fortunately, the family living at the property had already fled to spend the night at an evacuation centre following landslide advisories in the area.

Officials said that at least nine people have been killed during the typhoon while more than 900,000 residents have been affected mostly in the Southern Tagalog region where, typhoon Molave, or Quinta as it is also known, made landfall.

Most of the evacuees were from villages that are prone to landslides, flash floods, storm surges, and mudflows.

Typhoon Molave is expected to make landfall in Vietnam today (October 28). Officials in Vietnam, which is still reeling from severe tropical storms this month, have prepared to evacuate more than 1.3 million people.

Typhoon Molave is then expected to move into Cambodia and Thailand towards the end of the week.
