Emergency services personnel extended relief services to locals stranded in southern India's Tamil Nadu on November 26, after the state received incessant rainfall and multiple localities of the state capital got inundated. The relief operation took place in Varadharajapuram in Chennai.

Visuals witnessing the heroic feat of the emergency services personnel feature the team entering the locality on boats. The entire neighbourhood is waterlogged in knee-high water, while an ambassador car is stranded with water reaching up to its wheels.

The relief team rescued elderly people on the boats and also provided necessities to the people stranded in their houses amid the flash floods. Given the inundated condition of the roads, the team rowed towards the stranded to extend their services.

The Tamil Nadu and Puducherry governments relocated thousands of people from low-lying areas to higher ground and ensured that relief and food were provided to all. Both governments declared a holiday for November 26, with Tamil Nadu declaring a holiday for 16 districts that are expected to be affected.
