A deer was rescued from a well in Udupi district, India in a joint rescue effort by officials and locals.

The rescue occurred on December 4 after forest officials were notified by locals that a deer had fallen into a dry well in Kundapur Taluk.

After around 30 minutes the deer was hoisted out of the pit with ropes and a net.

A Deer was rescued today morning (4th December) in Morning hours by forest department officials with the help of villagers . The incident happened in Herikare in Kundapur taluk in Udupi districts . The deer fell into a dry well at Rajendra’s house . The forest department informed about it . It took them around 30 minutes to rescue the deer with the help of net . Forest officer Uday , Driver Ashok and forest watcher somshekhar was part of rescue team .
