A pest control team fried and ate wasps after burning their nest in Bantul, Yogyakarta province.

Footage shows the team burning the nest before pulling it apart to extract the wasps and fry them.

Boby, a member of the team, was stung on the eyebrow as he was not wearing any protective clothing.

Bondan Supriyanto, a member of the team that filmed this activity, said: "After drinking coconut water and then leaving it, it will swell and the wound will heal itself."

According to Bondan, the wasps are then washed and then fried to be eaten together. Fried wasp snacks are believed to have a delicious taste and higher protein than grasshoppers.

The Bantul District SAR 'Wasp Hunter' Team carried out an evacuation at night. The team took a ladder to reach the wasp nest.

An officer named Boby was attacked by a wasp for not wearing personal protection. The wasp stung Boby's eyebrows, which caused the area around his eyes to swell.

Bondan Supriyanto, a member of the team that filmed this activity, said that Boby, who was attacked by a wasp, was given young coconut water to cool off.

"After drinking young coconut water and then leaving it, it will swell and the wound will heal itself," Bondan said.

After successfully evacuating the wasp nest and caring for the victims, the team collected the wasp nest that had fallen and wasn't burned, then removed the wasp from the nest.

According to Bondan, the wasps obtained are then washed and then fried to be eaten together. Fried wasp snacks are believed to have a delicious taste and higher protein than grasshoppers.

Wasp type Vespa affinis is dangerous and deadly. Spread throughout tropical and subtropical regions in Asia, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

Wasps have a very painful sting. Aggressive, with strong stings that have the potential to cause anaphylaxis. In Indonesia there have been several cases of wasp stings of this type which have resulted in death.
