Officers of the police force of water and air (DITPOLAIRUD POLDA SUMUT) gave takjil to dozens of fishermen who fish in the waters of Belawan. In Indonesia the word «takjil» means food for breaking the fast during the month of Ramadan. Officers also distributed fast breaking food to a patrol boat belonging to the navy.
The director of the police of water and air Pol Dadan said: «In addition to advising the security and public order related to the safety of the property on the sea, providing groceries and food to break the fast can be a great way to become closer to the community. Social activities of the officers can strengthen the unity among the fishing community and the officers in Belawan».
