The army personnel undertook relief measures for a family stranded in snow in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on May 17. The incident took place in the Naginsur ridge in the Chhatroo Sub-division of the Kishtwar district.

A video features the army personnel mounting an elevated snowy surface with sacks containing necessary groceries for the stranded family. They reach for their rescue and then question them about their whereabouts. Following this, they hand over the relief packages to the family while they express their gratitude towards the army personnel.

Basheer Ahmed informed the army personnel that he, along with his family and animals, was stranded in the snow with a shortage of food. Following this, the Army personnel immediately swung into action and located the family after battling the poor weather conditions for nearly 24 hours.

The rescue party moved from the Chingam post and reached the spot with essential items to help the stranded family. Following this, the family members lauded the troop for their efforts and thanked the Army for their prompt response and succour.
