Two alleged phone snatchers dragged their victim for 75 meters down a road in southern India recently as they attempted to wrest his device from his hands.

Footage captured on June 30 shows the two alleged thieves dragging labourer Ali Akbar down a road in the Kozhikode district of Kerala.

Akbar was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Officers arrested two men in connection with the incident on June 2, according to police.

Two bike-borne robbers dragged a victim for 75 meters on the road in a bid to rob his mobile.  They approached the victim, Ali Akbar, and asked to use his mobile to make an emergency call. When they tried to flee with the phone, Ali held on on the motorbike's carrier and was dragged on June 30 in Koduvalli, Kozhikode district, Kerala state. Ali Akbar was taken to Thamarassery Taluk Hospital for treatment after incident where he was treated for minor injuries.

On July 2, Koduvalli police arrested two local men Sanu Krishnan and Shamnas Abdurahiman after reviewing CCTV footage from the area. The mobile phone has been retrieved.
