Incessant rain has inundated central India's Madhya Pradesh state.

Video shows a police officer encouraging victims of the rising waters to swim towards safety. An old man and young child also floats towards them on an improvised raft.

A state legislator, Jajpal Singh, has pleaded with authorities for rescue helicopters to help save those trapped by floodwaters in the area.

Incessant rains and intensified weather conditions have wreaked havoc on the lives of people in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 6. The incident took place in Guna.

Visuals feature heavy rains causing flood-like situations as the entire region gets inundated within seconds. The water level continues to rise while the raging stream of water swallows everything in it. Fortunately, a cop takes the matter into his own hands and encourages victims to swim towards them to save their lives. He helps the survivors in the flood-hit villages while on the other hand, a legislator requests the government officials to send choppers for rescue purposes as the village gets flooded due to vigorous weather conditions.

The police station in-charge in Guna risked his life to save the villagers stranded in their inundated house amid the flash floods in Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, on the other hand, in Ashoknagar, legislator Jajpal Singh pleads before Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and an Indian politician, Jyotiraditya Scindia, to send helicopters for the rescue mission as several houses have submerged.
