This man in Udupi, Karnataka, is wearing incredibly detailed costumes to raise money for children in need of health care.

Ravi Katpady is seen posing in an intimidating outfit of a monster from the filmed "Dark Light."

He aims to raise funds for seven children that need medical treatment. One being a 1-month-old baby whose parents can't afford the costs.

Though Ravi Katpady is works as a daily wage labourer in Karnataka's Udupi district but he is well known for his noble cause and theme based costumes he wears every year on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtmi to raise funds for the treatment of under privilized children .

This year he wore the dress of the monster from hollywood movie Dark Light , Ravi with the help of his friends this year are supporting the health care of 7 needy children.

Ravi tells that 7 years ago he heard story of a one-month-old baby needed a urgent medical treatment for baby’s hand dysfunctional. But her parents could not afford the surgery , during that time he was determined to help the baby.

From that Janmashtami on, Ravi has been dressing up in unique costumes, entertaining people and collecting money to hand it over to the treatment of ailing children. from the day he started this unique campaign he has till now collected around Rs 72 lakhs and helped many underprivileged children with their medical treatment.

His costume themes every year is after aliens and monsters. Each attire has been designed meticulously for the occasion. This year the theme was 'Dark Elite’ . Ravi himself is from a poor family and wanted to give back something to the society , He is passed till 9th grade .
