Herd of elephants relocate across forest cover in eastern India
A herd of elephants relocated across a forest cover in eastern India's West Bengal on October 1. The incident took place in the Gidhni village, located in the Jhargram district.
Visuals feature the herd crossing a road. The jumbos follow one another's lead and walk in a disciplined manner. Following this, they slowly move over to the other side. Later, the pachyderms graze in an agricultural field while the onlookers behold the experience from afar.
The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for food. They often stray towards the roads or farms, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
