A wild elephant strayed onto a residential region and wreaked havoc in eastern India's West Bengal on April 14.

The incident took place in the Manikpara village, located in the Jhargram subdivision of the Paschim Medinipur district.

Visuals feature the elephant entering the residential region, ensuing panic among the villagers. The jumbo tours the area while the locals walk behind it, maintaining a safe distance.

The magnificent creature roams around the village at its own pace as the onlookers gather around to behold the experience.

The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for subsistence. The jumbos often invade the residential areas, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
