A man left a hotel room full of rubbish after living there for around a month in southwestern China.

The video filmed in the city of Mangshi in Yunnan Province on October 24 shows takeaway boxes, plastic bags, cigarettes and other rubbish scattered everywhere in the hotel room.

According to reports, the man never went out and refused the room cleaning service during the time he lived in the hotel.

He already paid the hotel fee but did not check out. He said that he went to have a COVID-19 test but he did not come back again.

The room has been cleaned up but the whole floor still smelt.
