Halloween might be over but there's always a next time - and here's the perfect spooky dish for you: Animal blood over pig's organs.

Don't dismiss it as disgusting food though - it's actually a traditional dish in a region of Vietnam.

It's made with duck or pig blood mixed with fish sauce and saltwater. This mix is then being poured over chopped innards roasted with peanuts and herbs and chili.

Allegedly it tastes a little sweet and the blood will feel just like jello. Don't judge it until you try it...

"Blood Pudding" A traditional dish from the North of Vietnam: it’s made with the blood of an animal, usually a duck or a pig, but also goose, goat, and even snake. The blood is mixed with fish sauce and salt water to prevent coagulation. Chopped innards of the animal and some of its meat will then be roasted with peanuts and herbs like lemon, mint, coriander, and pepper, along with spicy chili. This mix is added to the blood, forming a layer on top. When it is served, the blood feels just like jello. The pudding will taste a little sweet, and you should swallow directly instead of chewing it.

Dish is made from of the pig’s intestine is "Doi" (also known as Vietnamese blood sausage). A layer of the intestine, also known as hog casing, is filled with a mixture of pig’s blood, vegetables, spices, garlic, peanuts and green beans and then steamed or grilled. It’s usually served with fish sauce, lime and chili.
