Reverend June Dolley-Major and fellow gender violence activists protested at the offices of Clicks, a major South African health and pharmaceutical retailer. They are demanding that Clicks stops advertising on or funding the Heart FM 104.9 radio station.

The protest comes after a protest held at Heart FM’s studios in December with regards to allegations of sexual harassment against a senior manager at the station. Clarence Ford, a veteran radio dj, was taken off the air after he made certain revelations in a media report about the workplace bullying at the station. It was also later revealed that a female LGBT reporter was allegedly bullies, sexually harassed and forced to sinning a non-disclosure agreement according to local media reports.

The activists wanted to hand over a memorandum of demands to a manager or public relations official from Clicks but was told by the building manager that no managers were available to receive the memorandum. Dolley-Major has indicated she will sit-in at the Clicks offices until a member of management comes to receive the memorandum.
