An artist made a portrait out of rolls of leftover toothpaste that he collected from his hotel.

Jaypee Bacera Magno smeared leftover hotel toiletries onto a mirror to form the image of incumbent Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo.

He said he works as a kitchen trainee aboard a tanker vessel in Doha, Qatar, but likes to dabble in art in his spare time, using different mediums such as graphite, oil pastels, charcoal, and food.

He said: 'Since I was a kid, I've loved making art that was unique. I thought about using the toothpaste leftovers from a hotel I stayed at when I was quarantined. They were delivered to me and only going to be thrown away, so this was fun and so many people expressed their appreciation for the simple art I made.'

Jaypee added that the toothpaste portrait was his way of expressing support for Leni Robredo's bid for the presidency.

The Philippines will be holding its national elections this May 2022.
