A 14-year-old daughter allegedly persuaded her 16-year-old boyfriend to kill her strict mother because ‘she stopped them from seeing each other'.

The girl, who police named only by her nickname of Nong Gift, allegedly met up with her boyfriend outside their apartment to plan the attack before they both snuck him inside their home in Samut Prakan province, Thailand on April 7.

She gave the lad, Tel Wongsheep, a 10cm-long kitchen knife and allegedly signalled when to attack mother Jeerapa Prapom, 53, as she walked into the kitchen before. The boyfriend repeatedly stabbed her as she battled to push him away.

Gift's brother Kitti, 23, heard the commotion outside and rushed to help the woman but he was stabbed in the neck. He ran outside after being stabbed in the neck to call for help before police arrived when shocked neighbours heard what was happening.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Uthit Parasorn said: ‘We have already interrogated the girl. They both confessed to planning to kill the mother and the brother.

‘We investigated and found that the pair had been together for quite some time and the girl’s mother had prevented them from seeing each other because they were still in school. We took the pair to the police station for questioning.’

Kitti had successfully stopped and unarmed the teenagers before calling for help, but Jeerapa died from the loss of blood before paramedics arrived at their home.

The mother’s lifeless body was lying outside the bathroom with a 10cm-long paring knife on the floor. Officers tried reviving the woman with CPR but to no avail. She had seven fatal wounds on her body, two wounds on her left cheek, three in front of the neck, and one at the back of her head.

Older brother Kitti had deep cuts on his arms and face but was in stable condition after being treated at the Bang Phli Hospital. He has been discharged and visited the police station with relatives to request his mother’s body for a funeral in Chiang Mai province.

He said: ‘I heard screams so I ran out of the room and I found that my mother’s room was locked inside. I broke the door and found the guy repeatedly stabbing my mother.

‘The stabbing did not stop because my mother kept on fighting back and I had cuts while trying to stop what was happening.’

The teen couple were found sitting inside the house with bloodstains all over their body when the police arrived. The girl reportedly confessed to the police saying that she and her boyfriend had plotted to kill her mother and elder brother ’so they could be together.’

She said: ‘My mother did not want my boyfriend and me to love each other. It’s only been a few days since I left and started living with my boyfriend and we planned on killing my mom and brother. My boyfriend agreed to be the one to stab them.

‘I went home that day and found my mother sitting in the bedroom. I asked my boyfriend to hide in the kitchen and I handed him the paring knife.’

The girl also reportedly told police that she wanted her mother to die because she was depressed and ‘had always hated her mother for scolding her from when she was just a child'.

She said: ‘Sometimes I just needed to hear kind words from her, sharing encouraging words. But she never did that, she only made me feel worse so I killed her.’

The mother’s body was taken for an autopsy while officers continue to investigate the incident.
